Can you believe It's already time to think about the Holidays?! The year has flown by and the holiday season is now upon us. For our very own holiday gift guide, we wanted to introduce you to some of our favorite things. We hope you will enjoy reading about the items we love and why we chose them for our gift guide.

Music is a language that connects us all. I sing songs from different countries without really knowing the words. The words aren’t the important part but the sentiments. Introducing and giving kids the gift of music is something that will always stay with them. The Bloomingdale School in New York does a magnificent job teaching kids.

In the past few years, I’ve noticed that people have given up alcohol. If that is the case we think the Mama Diop basket is a great host/hostess gift. A Maasai Shuka is an amazing gift to always have ready. The recipient can use it as a table cloth, scarf, blanket or they can wrap it into a dress as we did at Fashion Week this year. I haven’t met anyone who has been introduced to the Maasai and haven’t found them amazing. Our Shuka is a wow gift throughout the year.

We can not forget the men! We have custom suits, bags and jewelry that are Sapeur approved. We also learned about an amazing watch company founded by a Congolese-Norwegian called Bifuko watches. The watches are the creation of a Congolese born and Norwegian raised entrepreneur. Bongana Monga has a passion to create and you can see that in the quality of his product. Self-care is an important part of all of our busy lives. My daily beauty regimen is part of my self-care routine. I personally love Alaffia products. I use their black soap in the shower, face serum to keep my skin vibrant, their age defying face scrub once a week to exfoliate and I carry their chapstick in my bag. Some of us LOVE home decor (me included). I like to play around with different looks, textures and colors. One of the easiest and least laborious way to change your decor is via pillow cases, blankets and statues. It doesn’t require painting, nails, demo or a lot of help. Home decor items with a story always make a great gift.
