HAPPY 2019!

Bonne Annee!

2018 was a very interesting year for all of us at Adolophine. We originally planned to launch in March of 2019 but decided in June to launch November 2018 instead. We strategized that it is better to learn and make adjustments as you go along. Nothing in life will be exactly as you want. Perfection is sometimes the enemy of progress. Plus our women artisan wanted us to launch the day we mentioned our business idea.

My 2018 resolutions were to work out more, develop a deeper friendship with an unnamed person, educate women on our business model and get some courage and confidence to launch my business. I didn’t telegraph or share my ideas with a lot of people. I didn’t want their issues, ideas or experiences to cloud my ideas and lead to self-doubt.

My 2019 resolution is to continue to build up my team of women in Africa and abroad. I want to continue to be bold, unapologetic, nervous nelly, have courage and be hopeful at the same time. I want to be able to grow my team of artisans, learn about different rituals and celebrations and have a deeper connection with people.

My non-business resolution is to continue to spend as much time with my daughter as possible. She is growing up so fast and I want to always be around. It is impossible to do it all but its worth the effort.

I want to continue to learn and grow. This new venture has been life changing. I know SEO’s, social media likes and google analytics measure your business and brand progress. For me knowing how excited our team is when we sell something and the opportunity it provides them is priceless. That is our true measure of success. It gives me immense pride to be able to work and learn from my fellow compatriots.

We have a lot of goals we want to hit in 2019 like all businesses. We’re going to focus on the social and educational part of our business in 2019. Money and profit comes and goes. Teaching others and giving them a glimpse of Africa that they don’t see in the news is priceless. It will bind us as human beings and bridge the gap even more.

We are so grateful for you joining us on this amazing journey. In 2019 we will add more video content, introduce to amazing African music and spotlight people on the continent and diaspora doing amazing things. We look forward on having you all on this amazing journey with us.

Happy New Year from all of us!
