Bonne Année Mes Amis!
2020 was such a ..........I can't find the proper word without cursing. I had so many personal and professional goals that I wanted to accomplish. I also thought that this slow down period would allow me to just hustle or like we say in french “bosser”. I suffered major burnout, I was so worried about my child's education and mental health and hyper-focused on staying safe.
It is an accomplishment to make it to 2021. It might not have been pretty but we made it. I like to think of it as a football game. There are some teams that just have the coolest plays, their wide receivers run outstanding routes and they can catch anything in a five-mile radius. My 2020 survival was more like the pounding the ball strategy. I ran right down the middle for short gains but at the end, I made it to the end zone. It didn't look pretty but I kept moving the ball forward.
This year I'm not making any new year resolutions, lists, or posting any memes about 2021 is about to be my year. This year I learned to appreciate the little moments, be grateful for my family and all of our blessings, and most importantly our health. I know the holiday seasons are especially hard when you've lost a loved one. It's even harder this year since we can't be together. I'm sending strength, love, and courage to those that need it.
What a year! We've made it this far so let's' keep moving the ball forward. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. During these tough times, there is always something to be grateful for. I am especially grateful for all of your support, encouragement, and love. We had so many great things planned and we were picking up momentum before everything stopped. Covid has been sooooo tough on small businesses. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. It wasn't always easy to keep going but just when I was about to throw in the towel someone reached out and kept us going.
I hope you will all continue to reach out to people and share positivity during these tough times. I wish you all a happy, healthy, and safe 2021!
With Love,
Adolophine
